“We that are true lovers run into strange capers.”
—Touchstone, from Shakespeare’s As You Like It

About The Strange Capers
As The Strange Capers, we create innovative theater events in the spirit of a gift, and empower, challenge, and promote emerging artists in the Twin Cities community.

This summer, celebrated Twin Cities actor Randy Reyes and actor Eric Powell Holm will direct William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night in Minneapolis’ Powderhorn Park.

Shipwrecked off the coast of Illyria, twins end up in the world of a lovesick duke, a grieving countess and her raucous court. All while mistaken identity, comic pranks, and the madness of love keep the action in motion. Music by Eric Mayson and an unexpected ending will surely enchant audiences of this family-friendly production.

Twelfth Night opens on Saturday, July 9. Performances run every Saturday and Sunday from July 9 – July 31. All shows at 2pm. We perform at Powderhorn Park located at 3400 15th Avenue South in Minneapolis.  Meet us at the gazebo by the lake, where music will be playing and people gathering.

Performances are free and donations are encouraged. Children and families are welcome to attend these inventive performances.
