Tomorrow, Monday, we begin our rehearsals at Boom Island. For the past few days, besides working on the script, I’ve been obsessed with the weather forecast. I love the idea that nature will ultimately determine how we’re going to rehearse. I equally love the idea of hearing Shakespeare’s words outside, to talk about nature in nature, to see trees and walk on grass as we muse about the magic of the forest. This production will truly be inspired by our environment. I can prepare my little drain off, but nothing will truly prepare me for what nature has to offer. I just need to make sure I’m listening.

Yay! What a great first day! Meeting and greeting the creative team, touring the beautiful park and scouting locations with Randy, and then hearing the play. The weather was cold, but we didn’t care. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
